Environmental Management

This Environmental Management Policy Standard is concerned with achieving and demonstrating sound environmental performance through the identification and control of the impacts of our activities and services on the environment consistent with our overall environmental policy and objectives. Our commitment extends to all our activities, wherever they take place, which have the potential to adversely affect the environment. We aim to prevent environmental damage, minimize energy and resource usage and ensure that the principles of sustainable development are operated throughout all our work. throughout design, manufacture and installation

We will therefore

  1.  Identify the significant environmental aspects and impacts from current and relevant past activities and, where we can be expected to have an implement an appropriate environmental management system
  2. Minimize and where reasonably practicable eliminate any adverse impact on the Environment arising from the activities of our business
  3.  Minimize the use of energy, resources consumed and waste produced while undertaking our business activities in a safe and professional manner
  4. Support the reduction, reuse and recycling of materials and ensure the legal disposal of All waste arising from the activities of the business.
  5.  Comply with legal requirements and where appropriate go beyond compliance with the minimum environmental requirements of legislative bodies and our customers.
  6.  Make appropriate resources available to manage the environment and ensure human resource roles, responsibilities and authorities are defined.
  7.  Ensure that all staff whose work may create a significant impact upon the environment are provided with adequate and appropriate information and training and are competent in environmental matters.
  8.  Inform and train our staff in understanding and fulfilling their environmental.
  9.  Establish and measure environmental performance against objectives and/or targets.
  10.  Regularly review our environmental management system at senior management level with a view to continually improving our environmental performance throughout design, manufacture and installation.

Health and Safety is entrenched in Quest Joinery’s philosophy. We aim to lead by example, cultivating a collaborative and progressive culture, with health and safety deeply imbedded into every process and operation and the mindset of our team

Training.

Every team member is well trained to ensure they can identify hazards and risks and understand our health and safety policy and the part they play. Training is ongoing and undertaken in-house and externally. All supervisors and managers receive extensive health and safety training to enable them to effectively manage the technical health and safety requirements of our production facility and sites .

Managing Risk.

Every project, no matter the size, is allocated a Faden Health and Safety representative and the risks involved are well managed from start to finish. Our highly-trained designers consult with the manufacturing and installation departments to incorporate safe working methods into their designs, with this information clearly communicated to project management and concerns addressed before work commences.

Sharing Best Practice

Our positive health and safety culture spreads wider than just our own work, we work with our supply-chain and other trades on site to share best practice to work towards our common aim of protecting the safety of everyone we interact with.

Health and Wellbeing

We are dedicated to the wellbeing of our team, keeping them healthy, supporting physical and mental health and keeping them motivated and engaged at work. We provide a healthy working environment, annual occupational health checks and private medical insurance to all employees.
